The Center for Organizational Excellence, Inc. (COE) is pleased to announce it has donated computer equipment to The Dwelling Place, Inc (TDP). The donation will directly benefit families represented by the organization and provide them with access to technology resources that help them live, learn, work, grow, and thrive in their communities.
COE worked with Lisette Engel, Executive Director – The Dwelling Place, to efficiently supply laptops to the families that were most in need of assistance, effectively narrowing the gap between those who are more affluent and those less fortunate.
“Giving back to our community has always been a priority at COE. We hope our latest contribution allows TDP to continue carrying out their mission of supporting homeless families in the very community we love and share,” said, Steve Goodrich, COE’s President and CEO. “It is wonderful to help children maintain parity with their peers in school and personal growth.”
About ‘The Dwelling Place’
The Dwelling Place was established in 1988 by a group of community activists and volunteers who were concerned about the growing number of homeless families in our local community. They founded a program that assisted families as they transitioned from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
Today, an independent community Board of Directors governs the organization with support through the City of Gaithersburg, Montgomery County, and the Federal Government. We also work closely with individuals, faith groups, schools, service clubs, and businesses in our community, offering them the opportunity to be a part of helping these families.
